About our program

Venture Kids Academy offers high-quality, play based preschool programming for children ages 30 months through 5 years.
We offer a variety of emergent learning opportunities with our teaching team focused on the growth and development of the whole child.  While we are play based,  we do follow daily schedules designed to help your child establish healthy routines, foster creativity, encourage active exploration, problem-solving, all while building positive relationships with teachers and peers.

Classes are three hours long and offered in both the morning and afternoon.

Early Birds: 9:00 to 12:00
Afternoon Owls: 1:30 to 4:30

Families can choose to attend 2 or 3 days per week.

What to expect

Low Ratios:
At Venture Kids Academy, we want to focus on quality over quantity. That means choosing to maintain lower teacher-to-student ratios in our Preschool and Pre-K classrooms to ensure our teachers are able to provide the best care and education for the children in their care. Statewide standards for ratios in Preschool and Pre-K programs is one teacher for every ten students, we will maintain ratios of one teacher for every eight students.

Stellar Communication:
We are committed to giving you the best communication possible. In order to do this, we utilize the ProCare Solutions App to build and sustain strong partnerships between school and family.  What does this look like?
  • Daily Reports:
    • Be there without actually being there! Our daily reports allow teachers to share all the happenings from your child's day: meals, playtime, and learning activities accompanied by photos and video!
  • Weekly Lesson Plans
    • Teachers will create and share weekly lesson plans and can then connect those activities to state standards. This allows us to ensure students are receiving a well-rounded education with curriculum that touches on all the areas of learning and development: Language & Literacy, Social-Emotional, Creative Expression, STEM, Health & Wellness,  Social Studies, and Character Curriculum. We also incorporate American Sign Language and Foreign Language into our daily activities.
  • Monthly Newsletters
    • Expect to receive monthly newsletters from your child's classroom highlighting the learning that has taken place the previous month, sharing important information, friendly reminders, and and keeping you in the loop regarding upcoming events and happenings!
  • Ongoing Assessments
    • The ProCare App allows teachers to conduct observations in the moment. They are then able to use those daily observations to conduct regular assessments on your child's progress and development. These assessments, along with abundant pictures and videos are compiled into a digital portfolio which is shared with you during Parent/Teacher Conferences!
  • Parent/Teacher Conferences
    • Speaking of conferences, you can expect to meet regularly with your child's teacher. Having time to sit with one another and have uninterrupted conversation about your child is necessary for successful partnerships. You will have three types of conferences throughout your experience, intakes, progress reports, and assessment conferences, all intended to keep you actively involved and engaged in your child's education and progress.

Strong Parent Partnerships:

Partnerships between parents and teachers is vital to creating the best possible experience for our common interest - the health and well-being of the child. From your first inquiry into the program until the day we send your little one off to Kindergarten, we will work to create a professional and productive  team  atmosphere.  What does this look like? Daily, weekly, and on-going communication with families about student progress. As mentioned above, our ProCare App allows you to receive daily reports on your child's learning as well as monthly newsletters and digital portfolios.
